What is Piccolo?
Piccolo is a smart street door opener that let’s you open the building street door with a smartphone. Basically it is a retro-fit upgrade for your existing intercom phone system. Install Piccolo on top of your intercom phone and connect it to your WiFi. Now Piccolo wakes up when the buzzer rings, checks if access has been granted and presses the door open button. You may also plug it in to a wall keeping Piccolo awake at all times and therefore making the ringing unnecessary.
Why would I want one?
Smart locks already let us open home doors with smartphones but what if you live in an apartment with a separate street door? Nobody wants to use keys and then a phone seconds later. That’s where Piccolo steps in! Piccolo attaches to an existing intercom and allows unlocking the street door with a smartphone – even remotely. This gives freedom and flexibility when you can let people such as couriers in even if you’re not at home. Link Piccolo with your favorite smart lock and you may stop using keys entirely! Perfect for apartment smart homes, airbnb flats or even garage doors!

Integrations

Works with most existing intercom systems. No need to change anything! All you need is an intercom that buzzes and has a button to open the door. Works with garage doors too!
Easy installation
Simply attach the device on top of your buzzer with the included double-sided tape and you’re done. No tools or re-wiring needed and the buzzer button still works normally when using manually!

Piccolo has a built-in 4000mAh battery but it can also be plugged in if needed.

We are Pindora – a technology developer company from Finland specialising in retro-fit smart devices that free your home, office or Airbnb flat from mechanical keys. You may still use them – but you don’t have to. Our Pindora smart locks are widely used in Finland and now we wish to introduce Piccolo the street door opener to the whole world! Pindora smartlock saw the light of day thanks to a successful national crowdfunding campaign and therefore it is only natural for us to take the next steps in our crowdfunding journey on Indiegogo platform!
